What are Dental Implants? Dental implants are titanium fixtures that are inserted into both upper and lower jawbones. They serve as artificial substitutes for the root portion of missing natural teeth. Dental implants can serve as anchors for an entire compliment of teeth or they can be used to replace a single lost tooth.
